Hi [fname],
The World Cup has got underway and we have already seen a significant incident in the England v USA match. No guesses as to which incident I'm referring to.
It's a big debate right now whether Robert Greens frame of mind is right
to start the next match. Yesterday morning I was listening to TalkSport Radio (Alan Brazil's Sports breakfast) and a well known sports psychologist was a guest on the show, he said the following:
"If you focus on not making a mistake, that is what's more likely to happen"
"A better way to condition your mind is to focus on the positives. For example, Wayne Rooney, being a striker should focus (visualise) on
scoring goals and NOT on not missing goal opportunities"
Makes sense to me. Think about it, the best coach in the world right now has to be Jose Mourinho, there's no way this is a fluke, yes he is a master tactician but I also think his leadership skills are incredible. Sir Alex Ferguson and Luis van Gaal is another example.
Unfortunately we don't have any Jose Mourinho but we do have the next best thing. His name Bill Beswick and he is the best in the business at teaching Sports Psychology specifically for Football coaches. >> Watch Sample
